Well, there you have it: if you burgle Ms Harris, physical injury is what you can expect. However, the test of self-defence—to which she appears to be alluding—is in fact, according to law, proportionality, and there have been causes célèbres in which those who reached for firearms to ward off burglars ended up in prison themselves.
