I loved reading this ,Vincent :) It took me back to LA from the Pain Quotidien at Stockel. Would you like to see some more of my pics from LA or you don’t want to risk more tears?
My memories of America are vivid. I can tell you what cars they drove in Philadelphia that were different from the cars in Florida or California. I can describe the race - only a few seconds - from the Ramada Inn reception at Kissimmee to the car, just a few yards away in the parking lot, to get the engine on and the AC moving: July in Florida. And I credit these recollections and more to one thing: I did not carry a camera. Cameras on holiday are anathema to holidays, so said my Uncle David, who would travel to Sorrento cameraless, and buy fold-out postcards as a souvenir. I followed his advice and photographed less, remembered more. It wasn't yet in the pocket anyway. You needed to pack it, take films, flash cubes and batteries. Instead, I did what I'd gone for: relaxing, and seeing things, instead of photographing them. So, yes, I'd be very interested to see the rest of your pictures from The Other Big Easy.

I wetransfered to you a three-page pdf file, my memories of LA from last October. The themes are: cars, abstract and musings.
