John Crace, whose contributions to The Guardian newspaper always carry a tinge of what in school was generally referred to as a piss-take and now, in adult life, gets called incisive sarcasm, quotes the Conservative party’s shadow foreign secretary, who has bellowed out his party’s opposition to the deal that his party negotiated whilst in power, almost to the point of deafening everyone in the House: the title to this article is the summation of Andrew Mitchell’s judgment on the matter of the Chagos sell-out.
