I should make myself clear; it is not the Iranian people who are evil, and especially not the Iranian women, it despising is limited to the Iranian religious government
Please don't take this comment as an endorsement of Netanyahu - I despise him and totally disagree with killing civilians of any nationality anywhere due to war. That said, why were there no medical supplies in these hospitals? Don't tell me the Israelis stole them, I won't believe you. When Hamas attacked Israel October 7, 2023 they bloody well knew the Israelis would fight back. So, why weren't these hospitals equipped with medical supplies? In the past Hamas and other terrorists have stolen food, clothing an medical supplies from UN and charities throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Sold said supplies to equip themselves with weapons.
Some supplies may have been destroyed due to bombings, but we also know that at least one hospital was destroyed by Hamas, whether purposeful or accidental. If Iran would stop arming and financing terrorists, maybe the rest of the world could step in and help and protect the Gazan people. I would be fully in support of removing the illegal Israeli settlers from the West Bank and helping the citizens there also, if and only if, the UN shut down Iranian support and protection of Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis.
If any people are to blame here, Iran and the weapons manufacturing industries in the United State and elsewhere are at the top of the list.
Thanks for your reaction. The Gaza Health Authority has been found by independent sources, like press agencies and the United Nations, to have been reliably accurate in the numbers of dead and wounded reported. The discrepancies in estimates have numbered but a few hundred out of 23,000, which is almost to be expected (when a pro-Palestinian march was organised in London, the estimates of attendance varied between 70,000 (police) and 500,000 (organiser) and it's clear where the interests lay in under- or over-estimating those figures).
However, your question is valid, even if I can offer no explanation as to why supplies were so low. With an estimated (last I looked) 58,000 injured, I can imagine that what stocks there were have quickly been exhausted. Why extra stocks weren't stockpiled, I cannot say; maybe they were, and they, too, have been used up. What I cannot truly imagine, though it, cynically, remains a possibility, is that stocks are there aplenty, but, for whatever reason, are not being utilised. Ms Jilani's report is to my mind credible: painkillers are non-existent, water's been cut off and the dying must die on the floor for want of beds.
The role of the military-industrial complex, as President Eisenhower put it, is clear. No amount of cynicism in that quarter is too much.
The suffering of the Gaza Palestinians is inexcusable and has been for 75+ years. They have been used as disposable pawns by Iran and Israel and in the past by Egypt, Lebanon and Syria too. They never have had a break and by now are so used to being maltreated in the extreme have lost the will to protect themselves or even to protest their condition.
