I'm happy for you that you have your faith, Graham. As you know, I have no god. But it has nothing to do with my distrust of religious organizations, or that I must see to believe. For me, I have no god because I don't need one. I intrinsically know right from wrong so I don't need someone pointing this out to me. I cannot "see" a bacterium nor a virus, they are much too small to be seen by the naked eye. I did have the experience in graduate school of seeing and photographing an Escherichia coli bacterial colony through an electron microscope; but I believed they existed before I saw one because of indisputable scientific evidence. Do not judge all of us by personal prejudice, as I accept your right to whatever your belief system is, so to should you accept other's right to their belief system - so long as they harm no one else. (which leaves out authoritarians everywhere)

It's the least that I can do for your efforts and its quality.

Your headline makes it impossible to "love" your excellent article.

Does it? It's intended as an irony, and it's something akin to the double irony in the Queen song "Thank God It's Christmas".

I believe that death is a gift, a portal to somewhere we have an idea of but are unsure of and even afraid of, to where some of us have a means of communication, but which ultimately is our redemption. If we lived for ever, we would lose our agenda.

Your engagement is much more appreciated than a wee heart, thanks Bill.
