Tell them. You know where I can be reached. There are politicians and businesspeople hither and thither who complain that others fail to see the big picture. And when the big picture gets painted, they turn and argue that the devil is in the detail. I said recently to someone that I was accused at KBC of being "too sensitive" by my boss, who later said I was being "condescending" to her (I gave her my view on marketing texts, and she had a degree in Marketing). I said, "I was tempted to say she was being too sensitive, but that would have been condescending of me." The big picture is that wealth relocation is too easy, especially if the wealth is ill-gotten. Maybe if the rich are taxed as they ought to be, they will all go off to low-tax jurisdictions. But what if they all just had to stay there? Like, by taking their passports off them? Outrageous? The fundamental principle of "paying tax where you live" is underlined by "your tax paying for the amenities provided by the society you live amongst". If you move your wealth, you should change your society. Is that picture too big for people?
Very clearly put. Worthy of a TED talk!
